Fanni Zahár has been making music for 15 years, and has been part of numerous collaborations alongside her loyal companion, the flute. Transcending her background in jazz, she ventures into electronic music with her solo project, Zakhorov, which channels the impressions, experiences, and inspirations of her musical journey into a unique and fresh sound. Melodies and percussive elements inspired by the Balkan region, as well as Afro- and South American musical worlds, merge with the use of kaval, shepherd’s flute, and flute, and blend with dub, broken beat, and tribal/club elements to create a raw, distinctive soundscape.
